05.10.2026 | WALDNER invests in growth: New assembly hall bolsters DOSOMAT Packaging Solutions

With the commissioning of the new Hall 40, WALDNER is significantly expanding the production capacity of its DOSOMAT Packaging Solutions division. The former industrial hall, which forms part of the former Thiermann site, has been extensively refurbished and converted into a state-of-the-art assembly centre for packaging machines and complete packaging lines.

With this investment, WALDNER is laying the foundations for further business growth whilst simultaneously strengthening the Wangen production site in the long term. The new hall has increased the space available for final assembly by 75%. This creates additional capacity to meet growing project volumes and rising customer demands flexibly and sustainably over the long term. At the same time, the modern infrastructure provides the ideal conditions for efficient assembly processes and the successful delivery of challenging customer projects.

“Hall 40 is far more than just a new production hall. It represents a clear commitment to the Wangen site, to further growth and to the future of our packaging machinery manufacturing. With this investment, we are laying the foundations to support our customers worldwide even more effectively and to successfully implement the next generation of packaging machinery assembly,” explains Jochen Früh, Chairman of the Board of the WALDNER Group.

The new hall offers ideal conditions for the assembly of complete packaging lines and large-scale plants at a single site. Extensive commissioning and testing facilities enable efficient project management directly on site. State-of-the-art crane technology, a hall area fully accessible by crane, and spacious assembly areas ensure maximum flexibility when implementing demanding customer projects.

In addition to technological advantages, the comprehensive refurbishment also focused on health and safety and attractive working conditions. Spacious layouts, greater freedom of movement, modern LED lighting and natural ventilation ensure a modern working environment. The logistics processes have also been systematically adapted to meet future requirements. Project-specific material supply right up to the assembly area, optimised material flow concepts and shorter transport routes increase the efficiency of operations. An integrated lorry loading bay, scheduled for completion by the end of 2026, will also enable loading to take place regardless of the weather in future.

Hall 40 is the result of a cross-departmental team effort and combines growth, modern technology, digitalisation and attractive working conditions. With this investment, WALDNER is laying the foundations for the next generation of packaging machine assembly and underlining its long-term commitment to the Wangen site.
