People are the momentum behind everything we do. We are therefore systematically committed to sustainability and an environment worth living in. Together we wish to preserve the Earth for subsequent generations. We are undertaking a number of things at Waldner to achieve this. Starting with ourselves – systematically continuing into the energy-optimised products and solutions we offer you. We are therefore underlining our firm will and our goal of responsibly handling natural resources. Gladly working hand in hand with you.

Sustainable Basis

Taking responsibility for people

Together with our customers, we want to develop pioneering products for people in nutrition, health and education. Within the Waldner family, we have always regarded ourselves as having a social responsibility towards each other. Since 1954, we have been supporting employees going through difficult times in life through our Waldner Hilfe e.V. charity. As an employer, we deal with our employees on an equal footing and invest in our most valuable resource. We do this, among other things, through flexible working hours, home office working, and support for young people: people who are happy in their job AND in their lives.

Powered by the Allgäu sun

Waldner's electricity supply consists of 100 % green electricity. Our photovoltaic system also contributes to this: it generates over 750 MWh of electricity each year, which is roughly equivalent to the annual consumption of 200 households. We have thus reduced our CO₂ emissions to zero for electricity.

Environmental protection in practice

Where there’s a will there’s also a way

We have decided to take conscious action at our site in Wangen. 98% of our heat demand is generated by production residue from wood production. Recycling also plays a part in our frame production. Excess powder in the powder-coating process is vacuumed up and reused. Eliminating aluminium in the machine panels of our filling systems is yet another energy-saving step. And we plan on doing more! We already meet the highest standards in environmental and energy management and are PEFC (PEFC/04-31-2580) and ISO-certified.

Positive carbon footprint

Our shared contribution

Waldner solutions can also improve your carbon footprint, both environmentally and economically. In your laboratory, for example, our room air control system effectively ensures reduced consumption at night. Our Horden drying cabinets can be equipped with heat recovery for energy-saving drying. And our laboratory fume hoods reduce the amount of energy they use by optimising their flow patterns – at the same time ensuring uncompromisingly safe operation.
